This is an attracting scent that can be used from mid-October through mid-December. It is a highly effective and potent combination of both young buck and doe-in-estrus urines. It is designed to act on the instinctive rutting behaviors of mature bucks. The aromas of both the immature buck and doe-in-estrus urine creates a scent that naturally agitates mature bucks into instinctively thinking a submissive, immature buck is following the trail of a hot doe - which mature bucks will not tolerate and they quickly take action by taking up the trail!
Sensing they are following a non-competitive, immature buck helps make the mature buck agitated and much more bold in his approach and he often comes in noisily and with his guard down thinking he will easily chase-off the younger buck from the doe's trail.
Love Potion No. 9
THIS SCENT IS POTENT AND THEREFORE SHOULD NOT BE OVERUSED. Just a little will go a long way as the pheromones quikly permeate the hunting area. Any passing buck will pick up the scent and follow it, however, Love Potion No. 9 is specifically designed to attract older bucks that hold a high ranking in the pecking order. The powerful aroma attracts bucks from long distances and they will quickly, aggressively, and unrelentingly focus on the odor until they zero in on the scent trail often without regard to their surroundings or safety.
I strongly recommend Love Potion No. 9 when making mock rubs, scrapes, or when rattling or using deer calls. Lay down a long trail and hang the scent pad in a sapling branch 25 yards from your tree stand when bowhunting and 50 yards when firearm hunting. Then sit back and get ready for the action to start!
